S2885 support

Please refer to bootlog for s2885. I have to comment out the optimized link in coherent_ht.c, and soft_reset to get the pci_regs dump in auto.c stage. You may find that the 0:5.0 and 0:6.0 are AMD8151 bridge and device. Stefan thanks. 1. hard_reset, with my two patch, the s4880 and 2885 with deferent link to amd8131 and more links to in coherent devices can make ht-reset works. You can keep the hard-reset, but some time it cause trouble. 2. sio-enable, because the init is not called. Without the init_keyboard, the keyboard will not work under kernel 2.6.3 or later. Via EPIA-M serial output- problem fixed

Hello All, I figured out why I had no output on the serial port of my Via EPIA-M. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I was not using a null modem cable between both PC's. I want to thank the folks that offered help; I and may have a few more questions down the line. Once I get this project finished, I'm planning to put together a Web site with FAQ and how-to documents for the Via EPIA-M motherboard. thinning out mainboard directories

Hi, I'd like to continue thinning out the mainboard specific code for the K8 mainboards, so it will be easier to keep all the mainboards on the same level if the infrastructure code around it changes. All code that is used by two or more motherboards should go to the northbridge or southbridge code (or elsewhere) * failover.c this seems to be the same on all K8 boards. It contains code that is specific to the amd 8111 south bridge. I suggest splitting this in two pieces, one going to the cpu/k8 code, the other one going to the southbridge directory. Maybe this could even be used by x86 based non-K8 boards? * chip.h What exactly is this good for? It seems to be unused by all K8 boards. Do we need it? Should it be merged with mainboard.c? mainboard.c and auto.c will probably always stay. (Can we rename this to more speaking names, too? At least init.c or sth like that sounds a lot more descriptive) irq_tables.c and mptable.c will hopefully become autogenerated from config some time, too. This could reduce the amount of mainboard specific code to not more than four files, giving any hardware vendor a fair chance to jump on the boat... No output on EPIA-M serial port

Hello all, I'm currently in the process of trying to get Linuxbios to work on my Via EPIA-M with no success. I have successfully complied Etherboot 5.2.0 as my payload, and performed a successful build of Linuxbios. I burned the image without any errors and rebooted the system. I then had absolutely no output on either serial port, or local display. I currently have 256 MB of ram in the unit, and have tried a build with and without the extracted vgabios.bin.
