Whether coreboot has restrictions on the bootblock program, cannot use static variables with initial values.
I am try to read the code that cache-as-ram of bootblock stage. And found that just cleared the memory and did not initialize the data segment code. coreboot does not currently support static objects that would reside in a data segment. That would require runtime support for loading them into the proper area. It's doable, but it hasn't been a feature with a very high priority.
