memtest x86 64-bit issues

Hello,
I can't seem to build memtest on my 64-bit version of FC8. Can someone just
send me a 32-bit memtest elf file?

No, it's not, sorry. If noone else steps in, I'm stuck in Vista on my
laptop for now, NetworkManager's broken in my Ubuntu install, but I'll
set up putty and build it on my fileserver Thursday. Sorry, but I
won't be home for more then a few minutes between now and then.

Joe,

Have you tried using buildrom?  It builds memtest fine for me on a 64-bit FC
machine.

If there's some reason you don't want to use buildrom, you could still look
at how it sets up the build.

The makefile has the CC -m32 option to build it as 32-bit but this
obviously is not working?

1. I check out buildrom:

svn co svn://coreboot.org/buildrom

2. cd buildrom/buildrom-devel

3. Configure it

make configure

Select your platform and payload (memtest86)

4. Exit config
5. Type make

There will be an elf file called memtest86-payload.elf (or something like
that) in the buildrom/buildrom-devel/deploy directory

Thanks Myles, I have to admit I haven't messed around with buildrom too
much.
