OK, this is a big patch which I guess we're digesting in pieces. I
note that Uwe has got a good start. Can anyone tell me where we are
with this?

Has anyone tried LinuxBIOS on such a Gigabyte board? We're looking at buying
some new desktop machines, and the Gigabyte M57SLI-S4
(http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813128014) seems like a
nice choice.
