[LinuxBIOS] flashrom with SST49FL080A

So I have what I thought was an 8MB flash device on my motherboard.  (Tyan
s2895)
with this I am using the RD1-LPC8 as a backup.

Well for my first test I read the flash from the original ROM.
Flipped the switch on the RD1 and wrote it back.
This did not seem to work.

Looking at the files that I created from flashrom, it seems that flashrom is
only reading 1024k of the device and storing that in a file.

Is that on purpose?  Why is the file not 8MB?
