Not at all.
but why don't we just ask the uniflash developer how he figured it out? He's got support for several different boards with special locking mechanisms.
Sometimes the factory BIOS has special callbacks to enable flash writing.
We could just re-implement the uniflash drivers missing from flashrom that don't use such callbacks, but noone has started yet.
