I don't think you can do this test with QEMU and without propietary software. You need a real CPU and the "propietary software" that comes inside it from factory. It's basically testing if the version of microcode shipped from factory works or needs the updated microcode. I believe we don't know the reasons the microcode was updated, so we don't know what the bugs solved, if any, were.
