This discussion has gone way off base, as such discussions can do when
licensing comes into the picture.

Bruce asked a simple question: can we rename some directories/move
some code around in response to a change in how a vendor is delivering
their chipset support?

That's a pretty simple question.

All of a sudden we're talking about what AMD should have done, should
do now, or will do. That's not the question.

Bruce, is it possible to rephrase your question in simple terms, one
paragraph, and not bring in what 3rd parties such as Sage and AMD
might do, and just pose the question absent any thought to what might
happen at some future time?
