Greetings,
Currently, for all practical purposes, freebios is LinuxBIOS. The project is actually quite active. The snapshots are way out of date. The best thing is to check out the freebios CVS tree for current images.
Snapshots are reletive in any case as each mainboard in the tree is more or less it's own sub-project that happens to share a good bit of stable code in the tree with other boards. Each mainboard directory has a STATUS file indicating (hopefully) the date of the last known good build so if all else fails, a CVS checkout of that date should build and run correctly.
G'day, sjames

Hello!
I decided to finally download the code for LinuxBIOS and all that I could find was a year 2001 dated snapshot and a year 2000 dated "release". Is the project dead or what? What are we discussing here then? Why the link at http://www.linuxbios.org/developer/download/index.html leads to a CVS tree of the freeBIOS project, which has nothing on its pages said about the www.LinuxBIOS.org ? Things seem so mysterious... Can anybody clarify them to me?
