Why would just changing the revision of busybox to 1.10.1 seem to break buildrom? It builds the busybox binary but then tries to put the files in initrd-rootfs and that directory has not been created as part of the build process yet.
Did you do a make busybox-clean after changing the version? You might want to rm -f work/busybox.
There's also the possibility that the config file won't work. You can create a custom config with make busybox-config.
