what can I do to revive the thing ?
if you have no backup, your best bet is to find another one.
well, turns out the thing wasn't dead after all. after a good night sleep, I woke up and mechanically went and wiggled the "erase CMOS" jumper on the "dead" EPIA M-10000. turns out it seems the VGA subsystem in the bios is buggy as hell, and selecting things like panel-size makes the thing boot but not output anything on the VGA.
Thanks everyone for their help.
