Has anyone used one of these? I'm wondering how well they work, if they could replace the serial port on a board that didn't have one, etc.
You can find them for about $10 on ebay.
Myles, I have one similar, and the USB is just used as power for the the LPT port.
Too bad. I was afraid of that. Thanks for saving me $10.
