Hello Yinghai Lu,
I just tried LinuxBIOSv2 r2452 for my DK8-HTX, and still have the problem with IDE bus timeout (log shown below).
Maybe my FILO Config is not correct, could you send me yours?
Thanks, Chris --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jumping to boot code at 0x1079b8 FILO version 0.5 (cstillo@clyde) Thu Sep 21 16:02:57 CDT 2006 Press <Enter> for default boot, or <Esc> for boot prompt... timed out boot: hda2:/boot/vmlinuz.lb root=/dev/hda2 initrd=/boot/initrd.lb console=ttyS0, 115200 console=tty0 video=atyfb:1024x768-16 Detected floating bus No drive detected on IDE channel 0
There is one guy post the his patch on the list, can you look at it?
- put SB chain on bus0
- sb chain is on link2 in the Config.lb
I'm asking one MB to verify why CAR is not working.
Thanks
Yinghai Lu

Hello, sorry to bother you again. Any update on this? If you are too busy, I can repost to the message board to see if anyone else has any more ideas.
Thanks, Chris
I don't know why your platform doesn't like to restart while
transition
from CAR To Ram code.
Can you check the serial Number in your CPU? I'd like to check that
cpu
in my platform.
Thanks
Yinghai Lu

Sorry for the delay. I corrupted bootstrap ROM and had to
recover....
Anyway here is logfile for #3... it loops over and over, I cut it
off.
