Let's not forget that in some cases it can also be that coreboot is doing something right/better, but it is not matching a bug the driver thinks it has to fix. It happens.

The answer to this is already well known - the coreboot code is doing something different, probably because it doesn't know better, probably because the programmer has not written correct code.
This would make native video init compatible
While I appreciate that there are many users who would like all kinds of things to work without them being able to fix it themselves, the reality is that things will work when someone fixes them.
All these things are well-known problems. Correct patches would be great.
