[LinuxBIOS] Program to load vga bios after kernel init that was linked?

I know someone (Peter?) linked to something like this, IIRC it consisted
of a kernel patch and userspace program. Does anyone have the link? I
think it was about 2 months ago that it was sent, and I can't seem to
find it anywhere.
