As long as the keyword doesn't contain the separator it shouldn't matter.
KEYWORD SEPARATOR VALUE
KEYWORD is any number of any characters excluding ":" SEPARATOR is the string ": " VALUE is the remaining characters up to a CR or LF
And ":" IS the sensible separator IMO.
