Too early until it has actually been tested? Maybe not.

I can take some pictures of the process using an experiment board and
another SO-8 chip, that might be useful to illustrate how the
resistors can be mounted even if it's not the Gigabyte board.

Maybe whoever does the first testing on actual hardware can also take
some pictures?
