YH, After running the new CK804 code, I'm having trouble getting the CK804 devices to work. Most references to ck804_enable are commented out. I'm wondering how devices get enabled. Steve

[LinuxBIOS] Using tla (gnuarch) through a proxy server/firewall

I'm trying to setup tla access to the LinuxBIOS (openbios.org) archive through a proxy server that also functions as a firewall. The proxy server is denying access when I try to do: $ tla register-archive \ ftp://openbios.org/pub/arch/linuxbios@linuxbios.org--devel Can http be used instead of ftp in the above URL? I'm using the following environment variable, defined with $ ftp_proxy = http://<username>:<password>@<proxy-server>:<proxy-port> $ export ftp_proxy where <username>, <password>, <proxy-server>, <proxy-port> are all replaced by literal values acceptable to the proxy server. I've tried to use google to shed light on this issue, but haven't found anything useful. ------ I've got yum working through this proxy server using http_proxy: $ http_proxy = http://<username>:<password>@<proxy-server>:<proxy-port> $ export http_proxy So, I know that at least http passes through the proxy server just fine. ------ Any suggestions or comments? [LinuxBIOS] etherboot with LinuxBIOS

Does anyone know how to build etherboot with a current version of gcc? I am using gcc version 3.4.3 and binutils 2.15. I've tried several etherboot versions up to 5.4.0. I know etherboot 5.2.6 with gcc 3.2.2 works, but that's an old version of gcc. Thanks. Steve

Please use 5.2.6 and gcc 3.2.2, so you need to use RH9. for that. You may try 5.4 too (use CVS to get latest one), it can be compiled in late compiler. The problem it doesn't support memtest till now....
