0 = QEMU

2 = Coreboot
3 = CSM
Then you have one get_platform() function, instead of four separate
startedOnQEMU(), startedOnCoreboot, startedOnCSM, etc functions.
That's done on purpose so that the compiler can optimize away chunks
of code depending on the various Kconfig settings.
