Yes - that's my basic argument. Generating the content in a way that is future proof (or future flexible) is very hard. The DSDT is particularly painful. I'm also afraid of introducing a lot of complexity when simply hardcoding the content (in the right place) is the better option.
If that's what it boils down to, I'll look more closely at it.
