I don't know.  I think you need to ask the KVM folks.

Yes, please send your query to [e-mail].

There are a lot of reasons passthrough can fail.  It's usually not going 
to be the firmware.

Pci express passthough in KVM

Seems that the culprit was coming from libvirt. It runs fine when all 
operations are done "by hand".
