1.7.0 is about to be released with seabios-1.7.3 and includes ACPI table generation. I don't see SMBIOS table/record generation support however.
Yes, 1.7 has acpi table generation, but no bios update yet.
Next release (2.0) will have seabios 1.7.4 (or newer) which will actually read the acpi tables from qemu, a snapshot is in git master already.
switching over smbios is at discussion stage right now, nobody has written any patches yet and as far I know nobody is actively working on it.
