Your past logs indicate that seabios found a 1.44Mb floppy in a 1.44Mb
drive:

08.530: Floppy_media_sense on drive 0 found rate 0

If you weren't using 1.44Mb floppies, then something went very wrong.
Otherwise, I'm not sure how the above could be related to the failure
you are seeing.
