PS2:

With a bit of digging it turned out that on Elkhart Lake FSPS somehow disables BIOS flash caching (coreboot adds the MTRR quite early in bootblock and it remains set up until a late FSPS-call, then it is overwritten by something different with no more spare MTRRs to add the BIOS-range back in). I have no clue why and where exactly but this explains pretty much the long time I face when the payload is loaded.
I gave this patch a try on Apollo Lake (mc_apl6) and it looks good there. So I guess this patch is fine and I need to find the caching issue on Elkhart Lake.

mb/prodrive/hermes: Correct memory RCOMP settings
The original RCOMP resistor and target values only apply to ULT CPUs and
do not make sense for the CFL-S CPUs Hermes uses. Fix the RCOMP settings
and the associated comments.
Tested, still boots.

mb/prodrive/hermes: Clean up some cosmetics
Use lowercase for hex numbers, sort includes alphabetically and avoid
relying on indirect inclusion. Include `<intelblocks/gpio.h>` instead
of `<intelblocks/gpio_defs.h>`, as the latter implcitly relies on one
definition from `<soc/gpio.h>`. Also drop useless dsdt.asl and fix up
the indentation of some includes.
Tested with BUILD_TIMELESS=1, Prodrive Hermes remains identical.

mb/prodrive/hermes: Get rid of variant structure
There's no need to use a variant structure here. Only one variant is
used, and revision-specific differences are handled at run-time, and
it's unlikely that another variant will ever exist.
Reorganize the mainboard code to get rid of the variant structure.

PS1, Line 9: Enable configuration to build with MT8186 arm-trusted-firmware drivers.

sorry for this.
ATF patch for mt8186 is merged on integration branch, and I think we need to wait
this patch to be merged into master branch and then start to review this patch.
I think it will be merged into master branch soon.
