Sure, we can do that. It's more complex, and I'm not positive it's worth adding that complexity, but if that's what people think we want, we can certainly do that.
To do this, I'd create two loops to compare each array entry in the first table with each entry in the second table (if any), and if the start and end lanes are identical then it would be replaced. We'd exit early if we've matched all the lanes in the override table.
Is that what you're looking for? So a variant wouldn't be able to bifurcate anything differently if say they wanted to take an NVME lane and use it for a WWAN device.

That way we dont need 2 tables and just operate on a single table.
