coreboot has its own toolchain, so I think the compiler is new enough (at least for current major platforms).
There's a minor concern that payloads may use different compilers - but I think most people should be using a C99-compatible compiler now. One thing we can't be sure if the compiler options - some platforms (or payloads) may try to override with ANSI C or other older standards.
@jwernwer what would you say about C99?

At the beginning, i got some build error when using "p = &mc->channel[0];".
This makes me fixing a lot of coding problems(which can build pass using local gcc), the same condition to p[i] as below.

Nivviks USBC port0 do not have retimer, USBC port1 has Redriver but that do not flip the data lines. Hence we need to set bits for both the USBC ports.
