Well, I'd argue that it's just the way we use C. Using structs for
ABIs is just bad, IMHO ;)

Btw. the coreboot_table structs are specifically crafted to give
no alignment issues with the expected compilers oO, hence they are
not packed. What could possibly go wrong?
