PS26: 
after the kernel prints "AMD-Vi: Virtual APIC enabled" it stalls for about 20 seconds and then writes a stack trace both without and with this patch. i wonder if this is due to coreboot not having included the ucode update for the apu. linux applies the ucode update it has included shortly after it printed the stack trace.

since this happens both with and without this patch, it's unrelated, but might till be good to investigate this problem
