As for "plain Python bashing", maybe: I already toned it down before pushing.

Regarding "no reason", I disagree: I don't need people with so little interest in the project that they don't even subscribe to the mailing list (that is, I had to let through each and every of their mails to the list manually) tell me that Python is the thing to use.
So, you're trying to "solve" a problem by just forbidding discussion on it. Do you really think people not subscribing the mailing list will read the docs...?! Sorry, I have no hope for that.
With allies like these, Python just had it coming.
As for "exotic languages", that's in the eye of the beholder: IEEE1275-1994 is a firmware standard that uses a perfectly fine language that nevertheless people in _this_ community would consider exotic.
Ofc it is `in the eye of the beholder`. Just like the pro/contra Python/GO/Perl/C/SPARK/whatever ....
