Thanks Tarun! What this allows the Linux kernel to do is display any discrepancies between the actual D state and the D states listed in this table during the S0ix entry flow (https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/acpi/x86/s2idle.c#L292) (when PM debug message are enabled via sysfs)
