PS4, Line 32:             use my_eeprom as needed_eeprom
What about just keeping `register` for this? It would still require a different token but it still keeps the syntax regular, implying that it's still just a field like the other registers (a const struct device * though).

`register "my_eeprom" aliases needed_eeprom` could be the above instead then.
