That seems unrelated since the checksum is done on CMOS contents. […]
I haven't taken a look yet, I just cherry-picked the patch on top of my repo (which I synced yesterday to test the stack issue). I flashed back to yesterday's build to confirm the error wasn't present there before reporting.
