why please ?
Because the NORTHbridge should be towards the north, and the SOUTHbridge should be towards the south? :D
Here's a random mainboard: https://i8.rozetka.ua/goods/14545541/132833264_images_14545541210.jpg From top to bottom, the order is: CPU socket, northbridge, southbridge. It makes sense to use this order on the devicetree as well.
Also, lspci puts these devices first, so now it's easier to compare a devicetree with a lspci log.
