Okay, I mean I'm not against adding another Kconfig to let the user disable this manually if you think that's useful. We just can't lose the existing config to track whether the controller is capable of flash protection. Maybe we should move that one under src/security/lockdown/Kconfig and call it BOOTMEDIA_CONTROLLER_CAN_LOCK or something like that.
