sorry for "looks like there is a conflict between IGD and the external GPU.", this is not true.
using lspci, there is no IGD.

The board boots fine in console mode, however, when Linux start X, it fails.

inside Xorg log, I can see:
UnloadSubModule VBE
unloading VBE
Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.
