Change subject: device: Move resource allocation into a separate compilation unit ......................................................................
Patch Set 6:
Patch Set 6:
I'm doing something wrong I think... I'm using gcc-8.3 with or without this patch my board will bot boot:
- without this patch and rebased on master : https://www.dropbox.com/s/lvkp3sajof18awt/master.log?dl=0
it will not find the hard disk
- with current patch and rebased on master: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c21mo9lxdiaglev/41442.log?dl=0
it won't boot (started to boot once, but when linux started, the screen went to black and didn't got time to note the error message, but it was linked to i945 drm. I lost also the USB keyboard connection.
both logs are done on this board https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/25509 with IGD only. I've use intel's microcode provided in debian pkg. the one on coreboot tree displays version 0
wondering if this can help ...
I looked through the logs and I don't see any difference in resource allocation: http://www.mergely.com/Ws043ilw/ which is what I would expect. I suspect there is something else that is causing issues.
