> The target of lto_2024 is to enable clang for x86 target, with LTO as an option, right? For LTO, the major benefit for coreboot is more at boot perf or module size?

So clang is already possible for x86 and I use it as a default compiler.
This series attempts to enable LTO for both GCC and clang. I did not delve to deep into it but Clangs LTO implementation seems to have fewer bugs and better results.
