At some point you will need to push a patch to Gerrit, because we don't do development on GitHub. You can do it later, when you want.

You can upload your work as new version of this patch, but also you can create new patch. Both ways are fine. If you end up creating new patch, I think copy Signed-off-by line from here, and also of course add your own Sign off.
