PS23, Line 357: Overwrite
This has misled me somehow to believe that the fields that don't matter
for the range (i.e. SRP) are overwritten as well. However, it seems they
are implicitly maintained by get_range_cfg_pairs(). That seems like some-
thing worth a comment (instead of yet another stating-the-obvious one).
