Idwer
Thanks. I'll try it when I'm back home tonight.
@xvilka: Sorry for last Tuesday. I left without a note. But everything went from bad to worse. My laptop started swapping maniacally, leaving it non-responsive for a couple of hours... When I woke up KDM was restarted, but started swapping after a while again. I should review my installation after I get my rom flashed :P.
I also attach the output of ectool.

hello cyrille!
sorry for the long time without any reaction from our side. the log looks fine, can you confirm that it has worked for you (i.e. did you reboot successfully and did the version string of the bios change)?
Hi,
Everything is ok now. Managed to flash the rom, but used backup of old one. Did not trust the new one I downloaded. After that I was able to reboot successfully.
Again, thanks a lot for your help.

thanks for your effort(s). i have rebased your patch, fixed a few minor problems (whitespace, '}' instead of ')' in print.c) and committed it in r1368.
