[PATCH] add a DMI match pattern to the board enable of EP-8NPA7I

we had a mismatch on IRC (nickname clr) where the board enable was executed on an EP-9NPA7I (9 not 8!). he had some other issues too which have to be dealt with, but to be on the safe side i created this patch so that we don't forget about it. i rechecked the lspci and found no better ids, so we have to rely on DMI. pattern used: "8NPA7I" related DMI strings: DMI string baseboard-product-name: "nForce4 DDR: 8NPA7I, 8NPA7I/G, 8NPAI, 8NPAI/G Series" DMI string baseboard-product-name: "nForce4 DDR: 9NPA7I / 9NPAI Series" -- Kind regards/Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Stefan Tauner

Success report: GIGABYTE GA-8I945GZME-RH, and a small issue

Hi, I reported about the GIGABYTE GA-8I945GZME-RH earlier in http://www.flashrom.org/pipermail/flashrom/2010-August/004531.html Back then it was not working but started to work after an SPI patch. I tried trunk again today on that board. All operations work fine. There's only one issue, two chips are detected "SST SST25VF040.REMS" and "SST SST25LF040A.RES". I selected both via -c and tested a write operation, both worked. I attached both logs. The chip that's actually soldered onto the board is "SST25LF040A" as per its markings, though. Not sure if or how this can be fixed. Anyway, I'll send a patch to mark board and chip as tested. If there is a similar 4Mbit chip option you'd like me to try let me know. I think it's perhaps similar to the Am29F040B and MX29F040 ships. I've just forced it as those chips, and hexdump shows the resulting image showing as all one's. I'm assuming it's a bad read, but as I don't know what was on it to begin with, I can't be sure. [PATCH] Add Olimex ARM-USB-TINY as an FT2232 SPI Programmer

Hi, The following patch adds support for the FT2232D based Olimex ARM-USB-TINY JTAG programmer [1]. I have successfully tested it against an ASUS motherboard, with a Winbond W25x80 (1MB) BIOS, and everything seemed to work as expected. Yet another great way for flashrom to shine in BIOS recovery! The patch should be very straightforward, though it is possible you may want to use something else than "usbtiny" for the new type (flashrom -p ft2232_spi:type=usbtiny) in case you find it not explicit enough. Please note that the External_flashers/programmers section of the Supported_hardware wiki [2] should probably also be updated to only mention FT2232/FT4232 (without the H), as we now have evidence that FT2232D/FT2232L are working just as well for SPI access. Finally, since external users cannot edit the wiki, I am also attaching a proposed update for the FT2232SPI_Programmer wiki page [3], to go with the patch. A preview of what this edit should look like can be found here [4]. I also fixed a few other minor items on the page, such as the "still pending review" Amontec JTAGkey2 section.
