Hello
I have a problem with writing BIOS I googled but nothing help me. Here is the log. May be you can help me. Thank you.
sudo flashrom -p internal -w 668F1P48.BIN flashrom v0.9.6.1-r1563 on Linux 3.5.0-17-generic (i686) flashrom is free software, get the source code at http://www.flashrom.org
Calibrating delay loop... OK. Found chipset "Intel ICH7/ICH7R". Enabling flash write... OK. Found PMC flash chip "Pm49FL004" (512 kB, LPC, FWH) at physical address 0xfff80000. Flash image seems to be a legacy BIOS. Disabling coreboot-related checks. Reading old flash chip contents... done. Erasing and writing flash chip... ERASE FAILED at 0x00000000! Expected=0xff, Read=0x25, failed byte count from 0x00000000-0x00000fff: 0xff7 ERASE FAILED! Reading current flash chip contents... done. ERASE FAILED at 0x00000000! Expected=0xff, Read=0x25, failed byte count from 0x00000000-0x0000ffff: 0xff00 ERASE FAILED! Reading current flash chip contents... done. ERASE FAILED at 0x00000000! Expected=0xff, Read=0x25, failed byte count from 0x00000000-0x0007ffff: 0x610d0 ERASE FAILED! FAILED! Uh oh. Erase/write failed. Checking if anything changed. Good. It seems nothing was changed. Writing to the flash chip apparently didn't do anything. This means we have to add special support for your board, programmer or flash chip. Please report this on IRC at irc.freenode.net (channel #flashrom) or mail flashrom@flashrom.org!

you did not mention which board that is. google suggests foxconn 945P(L)7AE is that correct?

this means that there is probably a mainboard-specific write protection enabled, which is not uncommon. we need to reverse engineer how it is disabled. for this we need to know which board model it is exactly and please sense us also the output of flashrom -p internal -V and lspci -vvnnxxx and superiotool -deV
Hi, thank you for replay
I updated my BIOS through the DOS util. But I am sending you an information thinking you have interest.
