Reposting your messages to a flashrom mailing list. Are you sure that a contact of a clip - with a chip - is good enough? If a chip is hanging in the air and its legs aren't mounted to the motherboard, the legs are prone to a tiny bending and the contact is less certain. Do you have a DIP8 to SOIC8 adapter - to plug this chip directly to a programmer without a test clip?

Hello Mike,
I will rewire but so far it was good the first time but i broke one of the legs of the bios pin on the board why i needed to replace the entire bios chip. Now i am flashing directly to the chip itself. with a clip.
