Hi,
I've done some research regarding SyncMOS and Mosel Vitelic (MVC) chips.
There are essentially 15 different chips (or maybe 17, see below). They have the same model number and aslo, as far I can see identical other properties (id, size, bootblock position, etc). But it's probably a good idea if someone else cross checks the datasheets.
According to the date stamps in the datasheets: Early chips seems to have the SyncMOS brand (before October 2000). The "Mosel Vitelic" brand is used between October 2000 and May 2002. From May 2002 and onwards "SyncMOS" is used again.
(The above should probably be taken as an approximation only. Eg, I have a MVC-chip dated "9936".)
The early SyncMOS chips use "F" as prefix, MVC use "V" and the later SyncMOS chips uses "S". The fourth group of characters designates Vcc and the suffix charcter (T/B) indicates top/bottom boot block.
Here's a table with the chips I've found. Not all chips have all brands.

Note that this table only contains chips for which I've found datasheets. I've also seen references to 0x83 (V29C31400T), 0xC3 (V29C31004B), (eg. in UNIFLASH's source code) but have not been able to find any datasheets for them.
Also I think the Device ID:s in [12] are wrong.
