I am about to try updating my FLASH BIOS over the next couple of hours - i wondered how long you guys will be there for right now and whether you might be able to help me out if it goes horribly wrong?
I am using Asus F1 A55-M LX motherboard - which i do not see listed in your table of supported/tested devices - would you recommend i give 'flashrom' a go anyway?
(note: flashrom seems to recognize my chip set, etc - here is the output of a successful flashrom backup i just made:
rcain@rcain-ubuntu:~/Backups/120815_1720_flashrom_backup$ sudo flashrom -p internal -r backup.rom -o backuplog.txt flashrom v0.9.6.1-r1563 on Linux 3.13.0-61-generic (x86_64) flashrom is free software, get the source code at http://www.flashrom.org
Calibrating delay loop... OK. Found chipset "AMD Hudson". Enabling flash write... OK. Found Winbond flash chip "W25Q32" (4096 kB, SPI) at physical address 0xffc00000. Reading flash... done.
Many thanks for any help/advise you can give.
