Hello people,
This is the news: old wiki website wiki.flashrom.org goes away in one month. It still stays around for one month, in case someone needs to do something - migrate a doc to the new website, or download a doc, etc. Official website is flashrom.org
It has been almost two years that wiki has that red deprecation banner on the top and was locked for editing. Now the time has come for the next step.
For stats, during these two years we had:
47 documentation pages migrated to the new website, and their urls are already redirected to new website,
and 63 pages were decided to be outdated and they will go away,
If you disagree with the decision made on any of these 63 pages, it would be super helpful if you help to migrate that doc (wiki is still available for a month). You will need to commit to be the reviewer of the doc content. You can create the patch yourself (see https://flashrom.org/how_to_add_docs.html) or ask me, or post here on the list. But in any case, you will need to review the content.
After one month, wiki will be gone, however it will stay on the web.archive.org (in fact, it's already there). So if you suddenly remember about some good old doc later, it can be pulled from the web archive and migrated (but see above).
Important thing to say: these 47 pages did not migrate themselves. And while I did create most of the patches, each patch needs to be reviewed by someone who is not the owner of the patch. I want to say thank you so much to all the reviewers who put their effort in this, and reviewed old docs! <3
