Hi, just wanted to know why flashrom isn't compatible for 32 kB chips, (i.e. 27c256 ones). I'm working with car ECU's eproms and would thank that. Thanks anyway,

It's quite easy actually: because *flash*rom is concerned about flash chips (25, 29, 39, 45, 49 series) and not about EEPROMs like the 27C256. In general it would be possible to add support for other devices, but no one has written the code (yet)...

Flashrom is a cute utility, I just wanted to extend its use to my work... even with me being the solely man doing it!
