Dear flashrom folks,
listening to Carl-Daniel’s interview with RadioTux at LinuxTag [1] he mentions that flashrom also supports some DVD drives.
Does flashrom support the DVD burner LG GSA-4167B? Searching the WWW I found a forum post [2] but contacting the author [3] was unsuccessful.
Here is an excerpt from my message to the author.
I want to flash my drive LG GSA-4167B currently running firmware version DL12 to DL13 [4][5].
$ dmesg
[ 1.588392] ata4.00: ATAPI: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4167B, DL12, max UDMA/33 [ 1.605261] ata4.00: configured for UDMA/33 [ 1.614030] scsi 3:0:0:0: CD-ROM HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4167B DL12 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5
It would be great if you could help me and provide me with the utility.
What license do you use for your flasher? I guess the flashrom project [6] would be very much interested in your program.
Thanks,
Paul
