just for fun an image of an emergency SPI programmer - ATtiny2313 as an RS232-SPI bridge - did 38400 baud serial, 4Mhz SPI - was very slow ... 2h+ for programming a 16MBit SPI flash - the ATtiny and the SPI chip were powered by two 1.5V D size batteries (covered in electrical tape) - the RS232 line lever converter was powered by the 5V regulator on board ...
