Hi folks,
some of you might have heard already: We've set up a new repository [1] and mailing list [2] for *flashrom-stable*. It's not quite what I imagined. But given that it'll live in its own repository, this will most likely turn into an effective fork. Nevertheless, I'm rather happy that this work can happen on coreboot.org/flashrom.org.
As the name suggests, the fork will focus on stability. We'll try to continue to provide a flashrom that avoids bricks as best as we can. With hopefully more regular releases and a steady development process.
Repo and ML are still empty. I'll write more about the project goals and kicking-off development on the new ML this weekend. Don't worry if you miss anything, it'll be in the archives [3].
Nico
